In order to strengthen the R&D Technical Department – Mechanical Area, we are looking for a Mechanical Designer to be included within the Automation Team. It twill be candidate’s responsibility to deal with the design and development of products, specifically mechanical and automation components for windows and gates. In collaboration with other specialists, the candidate will follow the conception and development of new products and innovation on existing ones, defining their functional and technical characteristics, recognizing the possible application areas, evaluating the costs of the production process in terms of competitiveness, will identify the production requirements and the related manufacturing conditions.

Activities and Responsibilities:

• Project input analysis
• Management of 3D mechanical design
• Management of 2D drawing drafting
• Supplier management both from a technical point of view and for respecting deadlines
• Management of product development, product functional test analysis
• Management of the drafting of bills of materials
• Management of project costs and investments
• Responsible for respecting project deadlines and quality

Requirements:

• Knowledge of 3D product design
• Knowledge of the design of components obtained through plastic injection molding and die casting, turning and sheet metal stamping processes
• Ability to draft 2D drawings with geometric tolerances and sizing
• Knowledge of assembly processes
• Knowledge of how to manage bills of materials
• Knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably Inventor
• Knowledge and use of an ERP management system, preferably SAP
• Knowledge of the relevant regulations
• Previous experience of at least 3/5 years in companies operating in similar sectors (Automation for gates and windows) will be a preferential qualification
